About The Position

The Finance Lead plays a critical role in supporting the Program Business and Program Management teams. This role acts as a key liaison between the finance function and the business/program departments, delivering insightful financial analysis, and operational support to drive performance and informed decision-making.

Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed.
  • Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, etc.) or Business-adjacent degree (Mathematics, Risk Management)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and/or analysis
  • 1+ year experience in strong data mining and database management
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of Government Compliance
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Knowledge of government Cost Accounting Standards beneficial
  • Previous experience with SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary finance contact for Program Business and Program Management leaders
  • Collaborate with teams to understand business drivers, project dynamics, and performance metrics
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards and executive summaries tailored to Program Business needs
  • Develop and manage business metrics (KPI’s) that measure performance from a cost, quality, schedule, financial, operational perspective, to minimize overall business risk
  • Oversee risk mitigation strategies to avoid business disruption and additional spending
  • Ensure the contract’s financial performance is in line with company expectations and goals for awards, sales, margin and free cash conversion
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions
  • Performs financial analyses and prepares variance explanations, estimates to complete (EACs), and monthly executive reports related to cost/schedule performance, staffing, and sales outlook
  • Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting
  • Drive data accuracy and integrity across systems and reports
