The Role: The finance intern works on finance related projects including assisting the finance department performing variance analysis and the preparation of budgets and related forecasts. In addition, the finance intern assists in ad hoc analysis for contemplated changes to our business.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at a college seeking either a finance or accounting major
  • Part time position
  • Flexible hours
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge in Database and BI platforms
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
  • Must comply with Casino Policies
  • Must follow Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Must adhere to Dress code and Appearance policies
  • Practice good personal hygiene

Nice To Haves

  • Casino or Hospitality experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identifies areas of opportunity for operational efficiencies, cost savings and profit margin improvements.
  • Works with various departments to gather, analyze and prepare reports.
  • Review labor plans to identify operational efficiencies.
  • Research departmental variances comparing actuals against our plan.
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Write clearly and concisely while presenting information to management.
  • Ability to interact with all employee levels.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
