About The Position

The Finance Intern will serve as a resource for internal departments and clients to navigate and facilitate various tasks and functions within the Extensis Finance Department. You will work closely with our Finance team to support key financial processes, data management, and reporting. You will assist in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and preparing reports that will help guide business decisions. This role provides exposure to financial operations in a fast-paced, growing environment, offering hands-on experience in both financial analysis and accounting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (recent graduate) or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 0-2 years of experience working in a professional setting
  • An interest in, or 0-2 years of experience working in, accounting, book keeping, or financial reporting is preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing desk-related tasks.
  • Prolonged use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse, requiring repetitive motion.
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and twisting to retrieve files or supplies.
  • Ability to walk throughout the office, including moving between different departments or meeting rooms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and via phone or video conferencing.
  • Ability to focus and maintain attention for long periods while working on various tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building of templates and best practices in the preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements.
  • Support the team in data collection, manipulation, and visualization using Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and provide insights.
  • Regulatory filings and Reporting process with multiple states.
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of financial reporting and data analysis processes.
  • Review and correction of key vendor and stakeholder data.
