About The Position
Marceco is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting/Finance Intern to support our finance team and gain hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, and analysis. This internship offers exposure to real-world finance functions and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects while developing key professional skills. We are looking for students that are finishing their sophomore year or are entering their upperclassman finance and accounting courses.
Requirements
- Studying toward a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience working in an office environment.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing month-end financial reports and account analysis (e.g., P&L, balance sheet activities).
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including data entry, invoice tracking, and reconciliation.
- Help with general ledger reconciliation and posting journal entries.
- Conduct research and financial data analysis to inform business insights.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as directed by the finance team.
- Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets and documentation with accuracy.
- Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with audit support, compliance tasks, and reconciliations as needed
- Support other departments with projects as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
