KnitWell Group - 2026 Summer Internship Program Finance Intern - Talbots Throughout the summer, the Finance Intern will get a broad understanding of the retail industry and company and the day-to-day responsibilities of the Finance team. The intern will assist with weekly forecasting and monthly reporting deliverables and support various financial statement analysis projects. The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2026 and 2027 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Haven Well Within, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project. The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr. This internship position will be based out of our Talbots office location in Hingham, MA. KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location. Applicants to this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. We are not providing sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

  • Relevant Accounting and Finance coursework
  • Basic understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Junior or senior (Class of 2026 and 2027)
  • Master's students not eligible
  • Resume and portfolio (portfolios only needed for Design Applications)
  • Available June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026

Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end book close deliverables providing financial statement analysis
  • Work with various partners in Finance on ad hoc projects that will provide insights on various sales and expense items
  • Prepare the weekly forecast
