About The Position

As a Finance and Accounting Intern, you will have a unique opportunity to support several functions within the department. This may include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Internal Audit, Financial Reporting or Financial Analysis, all of which will provide you with a broader understanding of a complex corporate finance operation. By contributing to this work, you will play a part in Safety National delivering on our Core Values of Stability, Integrity, Balance, Teamwork and Relationships. Your day-to-day responsibilities as Finance and Accounting Intern will include supporting accounting, tax and finance specialists in various ways as they balance our books, fulfill our obligations, collect outstanding debts and much more. Your coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar will be put to good use as you learn to apply what you’ve studied to real world business solutions. Here you will learn to work effectively with others, use your resources and work across an entire enterprise. In this role you will have an opportunity to gain broad experience into the inner workings of complex corporate finance and accounting. This internship provides a great opportunity for someone who aspires to jumpstart a meaningful career in corporate finance & accounting with an internship in the summer of 2026.

Requirements

  • Graduate or currently enrolled student in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management or similar program
  • 60 or more credit hours complete with an expected graduation date no later than May of 2027
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including vlookups, Pivot Tables and writing moderately complex formulas
  • Absolute commitment to consistency and quality
  • Ability to work on-site at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO 63146, full-time schedule (37.5 hours) in summer of 2026
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
