About The Position

Shields Health Care Group is looking for a smart and energetic individual with an interest in pursuing a career in the finance industry. The Finance Intern will report directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis and support the entire Finance Department with responsibilities including: Assists with administrative tasks for the finance department. Retrieves data from various systems, analyzes trends and presents information to the Controller & Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. Uses Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other Microsoft office tools to develop financial needs. Assists the Accounts Payable team in processing invoices, expense reports, etc. Assists the Accounting team in preparing and performing journal entries. Work with the financial analytics team in preparing for the annual audit and budget processes. NOTE: It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BS or BA degree – Finance & Accounting majors preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of the healthcare field preferred.
