About The Position
Leidos has a job opening for a Summer 2025 Finance and Business Operations (F&BO) Intern in the Washington D.C Metro area, which includes the Maryland and Virginia areas. This internship is part of a structured 10-week program designed for finance and business majors, providing them with the opportunity to engage in meaningful analysis that will have a tangible impact across the business. As an intern with the Leidos F&BO Organization, you will be involved in a variety of responsibilities that will challenge you and promote both your professional and personal growth. The internship includes two full days of training at Leidos Global Headquarters, group projects culminating in a final presentation to executive leadership during the “Purple Olympics,” and various networking and social events. Interns will also have the chance to participate in philanthropic opportunities and will be assigned a formal “Intern Buddy” to support their assimilation and engagement within the company. The internship will require you to perform day-to-day activities in areas such as Program Financial Control, Financial Planning and Analysis, Management Reporting and Data Maintenance, Proposal & Pricing, and Budgeting & Forecasting. You will be responsible for preparing and coordinating financial information for presentations to program and functional area management, utilizing Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI) and other related software. Additionally, you will leverage new technology to enhance efficiencies in business analytics and data visualization, focusing on automation efforts.
