About The Position

First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the financial/commercial lending. As a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Lending Intern at First Internet Bank, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the C&I team in order to complete a variety of tasks.

Requirements

Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior with demonstrated interest in Commercial Banking
This internship requires an ongoing pursuit of a college degree preferably in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field
Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
Excellent organization & data management skills
Superb communication skills

Responsibilities

Work with Portfolio Managers to get an introduction to C&I underwriting
Work with Relationship Managers to get an introduction on C&I loan structuring and risk identification
Maintain periodic loan reporting requirements and complete various portfolio management activities
Perform research and analysis on the various industries that C&I work with to determine market risks
Assist in loan closings, support file organization and periodic administrative tasks, as needed
Participate in internal and external meetings with colleagues and customers
Perform other duties as assigned
