Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. The Finance Development Program summer internship experience is rich with hands-on learning. You'll live, work, and experience the communities in which Corning operates, while building on-the-job skills. Interns are expected to deliver results, applying knowledge and practices both independently and as a team. Working with a supervisor, you will gain work experience while interacting with key technologies, subject matter experts and leaders.

Requirements

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance or equivalent.
  • Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Be willing to work at the posted job location.

Nice To Haves

  • Working towards a Master's degree in related area not required but desirable.
  • Finance Management Platforms experience (PeopleSoft, SAP, OneStream, etc).
  • Cost accounting/manufacturing experience.
  • Working towards Certifications (e.g. CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.).
  • Six Sigma Green belt/Black belt certification - a plus.
  • Data analytics software experience (Power BI, etc).
  • Data Science Experience.
