About The Position

The intern position at Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in Arlington offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and reporting. The intern will work closely with an experienced Financial Cost Analyst, engaging in various activities related to program organization, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and management reporting. This role will also involve data collection and entry, as well as the preparation of financial reports, providing a comprehensive introduction to the financial operations within a major defense contractor.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business or Finance.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day activities related to program organization, planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Perform data collection and data entry tasks.
• Prepare reports for management reviews during the Earned Value (EV) monthly cycle.
• Observe the use of financial information systems and the preparation of financial reports.
