Finance Equity Investments Analyst - Birmingham, On-Site
About The Position
At Regions, the Finance Equity Investments Analyst assists Portfolio Managers in the deployment of capital and the management of the Bank and Holding Company’s equity investment portfolios. Primary Responsibilities Assists with management of equity investment portfolios including Small Business Investment Company (“SBIC”) Funds, Fintech Venture Funds, Direct Fintech Equity Investments, and other fund investments Works with Accounting Operations to reconcile all monthly and quarterly cash flows, earnings, and account balances Assists with portfolio reporting for the Asset/Liability Committee and other committees and working groups Begins to work with internal partners such as Internal Audit, External Reporting, Risk Management, Corporate Treasury, Controllers Group and Legal Stays current on public and private equity markets and macro and micro factors that may impact future valuations Participates in marketing calls and annual meetings for both prospective and current portfolio funds This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts
- Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
- Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Access, Financial Modeling
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation
