About The Position

The Financial Coordinator will assist with calculating and forecasting program details to meet critical deadlines and financial obligations/goals for new and existing account opportunities. This role is responsible for all financial activities of assigned strategic accounts and company initiatives, including developing, implementing, and maintaining a profitable financial program by presenting performance/evaluation measures to Senior Management. The Financial Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Sales Team and other internal support teams to achieve revenue generation, inventory turnover improvement, and long-term account goals in line with the company's vision and values. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field of study.
  • One to two years of professional experience with financial analytics, forecasting model and accounting background.
  • Must have strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, including building models, data mining and on-line market research.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables.
  • Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and model, procedural controls, and data validation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to interact with Senior Management.
  • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time
  • Ability to utilize a computer continuously
  • Ability to sit and/or stand continuously

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience with financial analytics, forecasting model and accounting background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all Finance teammates during planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
  • Assist in performing financial analysis of product line performance on a macro and micro basis both internally and externally, making recommendations as needed.
  • Calculate and assess financial growth opportunities by partnering with Sales across strategic customer accounts.
  • Developing internal company forecasts to Improve inventory turnover & valuation
  • Research, communicate and resolve financial issues critical to servicing internal and external personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with business processes, working directly with the Finance and Business Managers.
  • Identify sales and market trends in advance to help build proposals that allow for improvement of bottom-line profit margins.
  • Work directly with teammates to properly forecast upcoming programs on an as-needed basis.
  • Create and run sales reports on a consistent and as-needed basis. PivotTables are a must.
  • Other data analytics projects on an as needed basis to support other departments.
  • Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
