The Finance team here at Webull plays a critical role in driving our company's success. As we prepare for our public listing on Nasdaq through a SPAC transaction, we are growing rapidly and are excited to expand our U.S. Finance team. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join this world-class Finance team. Someone who thrives in a team-first environment, values collaboration, and is eager to grow with us during this exciting time of expansion. Reporting directly to our Chief Financial Officer of Futures, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for key accounting functions while collaborating across various departments and products, playing a key role in preparing customer reserve calculations for future and brokerage clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of previous experience as an Accountant/Senior Accountant.
  • Knowledge of U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with self-clearing and/or omnibus broker-dealer accounting.
  • Working knowledge of broker-dealer rules and regulations.
  • A self-motivated, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting.

  • Series 3 or Series 27 licenses
  • Experience with Futures and/or Commodities
  • Corporate tax experience
  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud G/L
  • Public audit experience in broker-dealer environments
  • Experience with public company accounting and SOX controls

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with back office, compliance, margin teams, and programmers to maintain accurate balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process, including reconciling accounts, booking closing entries, and analyzing fluctuations.
  • Assist in preparation of customer reserve calculations for futures and brokerage customers.
  • Support tax and regulatory filings.
  • Implement and monitor effective internal controls.
  • Develop and enhance reconciliations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Streamline systems and processes to automate and eliminate manual accounting functions.
  • Coordinate annual audits and prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Act as a liaison with internal/external auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory teams.
