The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success and operational viability of our commercial deals. This hybrid role bridges finance, pricing strategy, deal modeling, and performance analytics.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling.
  • Proven experience in pricing strategy and deal analysis.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights and recommendations.
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical technology industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate projected versus actual deal performance, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle of complex service deals in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with sales, operations, and finance to develop and model complex service proposals that align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Ensure pricing and margin calculations, including escalations, are aligned with business standards and reviewed by the Pricing Manager when required.
  • Evaluate customer pricing against internal benchmarks and recommend improvements to enhance price quality.
  • Review and analyze projected financial outcomes versus actuals for negotiated deals, including revenue forecasts, cost structures, and profitability.
  • Support internal stakeholders with insights into deal assumptions, risks, and non-standard deliverables.
  • Monthly review of deal projection at signature vs actuals, including a short summary on variances and root causes, including driving necessary action plan to ensure gaps are addressed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and executive presentations summarizing financial results, key insights, and actionable recommendations.
  • Proactively flag areas of concern to senior leadership and suggest data-driven solutions to mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with pricing, sales, operations and finance to ensure alignment across all stages of deal development and execution.
  • Produce final calculation at term of service contract vs how the deal was acquired, as well as lessons learned to improve future contract negotiations.
  • Conduct special financial analyses as requested by management to support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement.
