About The Position

At CESO, we partner with organizations to provide reliable, accurate financial support that helps them operate with confidence. We’re looking for a Finance Consultant (Accountant) to deliver day-to-day accounting support for our clients, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and well-maintained. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work, working directly with clients, and supporting strong financial foundations across multiple organizations. As a Finance Consultant (Accountant), you’ll provide core accounting support for assigned clients. You’ll handle transaction processing, reconciliations, and close support while collaborating with internal team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Experience working with public school districts, clients or multiple entities is required
  • 1–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and AP/AR
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel
  • Must successfully complete a background and reference check
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
  • Comfortable managing accounting tasks for multiple clients
  • A clear and professional communicator
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities for assigned clients, including journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Maintain accurate general ledger records for client entities
  • Prepare and complete monthly account reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes for clients
  • Prepare supporting schedules and basic financial reports
  • Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and audit-ready
  • Communicate professionally with client contacts regarding accounting items and requests
  • Respond to client questions in a timely and clear manner
  • Coordinate with internal team members to support client needs
  • Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Identify and flag discrepancies, issues, or improvement opportunities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
