About The Position

American Fan is seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to join our team. As an Intern, you will be taking on impactful work while engaging in a dynamic learning experience and working side by side with our team. You may expect the following from us: The opportunity to receive hands-on, entry level, professional work experience in the areas of include but not limited to: Finance and Accounting in a manufacturing environment, Liaison with customers, vendors, and site functional areas (Purchasing, Customer Service, etc.), Hands on experience using our ERP, Power BI, and other financial tools, Additional learning experiences outside of daily work including trainings and workplace growth activities, Daily routine work or as needed support in various aspects of Accounting - General ledger, AR, AP, cost accounting and others to achieve the department goals, Sufficient opportunity to build your professional portfolio.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and O365 Drive Suites - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
• Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including drug testing, reference verification, and background check.
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting.
• Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a history of cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Ideal candidate would be at least in their 2nd year of school pursuing their bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Complete work as assigned and meet all deadlines.
• Communicate routinely with department staff and inform them of any difficulties in completing work.
• Present to senior level staff at the conclusion of the internship.
• Work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Support various aspects of Accounting including General ledger, AR, AP, and cost accounting.
