Your Role: The Site Finance Business Partner is responsible for all finance, accounting, tax, treasury, controlling and FP&A activities on site as well completing statistical analyses and other forms as required by local Authorities. She/He is the finance business partner of the Site Head/General Manager and is part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT), providing transparency on business performance through valuable analyses and reporting and supports profitable growth by developing ad hoc business models and CAPEX ROI analyses. She/He ensures full compliance of financial activities and transactions with local regulation, tax requirements and internal Siegfried requirements and controls. She/He guarantees accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting, controlling and reporting according to Siegfried rules, requirements and timetables. She/He is responsible for financial master data maintenance and governance. She/he will actively support (and locally lead) projects such as the implementation of new financial tools and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, controlling, accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in accounting AND controlling / FP&A.
  • Experienced with manufacturing environment and with key operational finance concepts, including but not limited to project controlling, manufacturing variances analysis, inventory management, conversion cost of production (fixed costs absorption), project and product costing, and financial/operational metrics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Power Point, Think Cell).
  • Working experience with SAP R3 and/or SAP S4 Hana required.
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Working proficiency of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

  • Finance Business Partnering, Projects & Production Controlling & FP&A
  • Support the weekly / monthly / quarterly forecasting process for the Drug Substance site (P&L and balance Sheet elements).
  • Manage the Rolling Forecast (ROFO) process in coordination with Project management, Supply Chain and Sales; Support the GSOP deck preparation (3 times a year).
  • Facilitate and assist in the preparation of the site Monthly Performance Review (MPR) package, as well as for the Half-Year and Full-Year reviews.
  • Prepare the weekly and monthly Conversion Cost of Production analysis (fixed costs absorption), as well as R&D resources utilization analysis.
  • Provide timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
  • Analyze and prepare the monthly site Operational Performance Metrics and provide detailed and insightful commentaries.
  • Prepare monthly manufacturing / projects variances analysis, understanding key drivers & recommending countermeasures.
  • Regularly assess and communicate on risks and opportunities from a sales and costs perspectives.
  • Provide insightful recommendations and support in driving cost savings initiatives, including compiling business cases and implementing trackers, where necessary.
  • Provide robust modeling and reporting to facilitate executive-level decision making.
  • Produce monthly cost centers reports highlighting areas of risks; Agree with SLT on mitigation actions and follow-up.
  • Support CAPEX process with preparation of the funding requests and business cases; Pressure test and validate the assumptions taken.
  • Follow-up in cash spent and achieving anticipated ROI.
  • Oversee the Fixed Assets process (from Master data, Asset under construction to capitalization) in coordination with the PSV Finance team.
  • Coordinate the overall annual budget process for the site in accordance with the Group timetable and deliverables.
  • Support projects' cost estimates and quotation process.
  • Perform quarterly inventory review to determine whether any provision is needed.
  • Transactional accounting is supported by the Siegfried Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC) located in Spain; This covers Account Payables, Account receivables, cash application.
  • General Ledger and tax (sales & use tax, income tax) will be managed by our Pennsville (PSV) Finance team going forward; same for the Assets accounting and other General Ledger entries (accruals & provision).
  • The Site Finance Business Partner will be the critical interface between the two above-mentioned finance teams and the site She/He will serve as "translator" to educate the Site Leadership Teams on accounting related topics, and to properly feed the PSV and FSSC team with business information needed to support timely and accurate accounting entries.
  • Support (lead locally) new project implementation (ERP, finance processes improvement, transfer of transactional activities to shared services …).
  • Create documentation on local finance processes and maintain it up to date.
