About The Position

Under the responsibility of the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner is responsible for supporting the Customer Logistics Director (DCL) in all areas of accounting and financial management. This individual is responsible for streamlining and continuously improving accounting functions and working to satisfy the client's reporting needs. This position is remote, allowing work from home.

• Be able to advise, make recommendations and make decisions related to financial and accounting aspects of the role

• Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• High degree of initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word & PowerPoint required)
• Ability to work under strict deadlines

Responsibilities

• Support Central United States region, but can work eastern or central time zone hours
• Responsible for internal month end close process including preparation of journal vouchers
• Research and provide explanations of variances vs. forecast / business plan / prior year and ensure billing opportunities are captured
• Prepare monthly forecast and annual budget for responsible scope of cost centers
• Contribute on cross-functional teams to pricing proposals for new business opportunities
• Participate in various miscellaneous projects as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
