Job Code to be used in CFO only Performs corporate and strategic business unit financial functions. Duties involve recording transactions, account reconciliations, analyzing and explaining variances from budget to actual, audit and/or tax responsibilities. This entry level role is part of a CFO wide Progression with potential rotations into Audit Services, Controller's Office, Investor Relations, Regulatory Affairs, Tax, and/or Treasury.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Individuals who will be obtaining their degree within nine (9) months from submitting interest will be considered; however, verification of the degree will be required prior to starting in the job
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
• Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to organize work independently and to work in teams.
• PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and balances financial data.
• Utilizes continuous improvement and lean systems methodology to drive out costs and improve the quality of work/life balance.
• Creates a positive working environment by supporting DTE Energy and the CFO's initiatives.
• Analyzes financial data to identify problems and various solutions/improvements.
• Assists in developing reports to communicate information.
