Finance Assistant – Civil Engineering (Full-Time) Location: Rocky Hill, CT Salary: $65,000 -70,000 per year Are you early-career accounting professional or a recent graduate eager to launch your career in the engineering industry? Garg Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our dynamic Accounting Team at our corporate headquarters in Rocky Hill, CT. We're seeking a detail oriented junior accounting professional with up to four years of experience in accounting or finance, or a motivated recent graduate, to join our team. In this role, you will assist with essential accounting functions such as invoice preparation, contract maintenance, project set up, budgeting and accounts receivable. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are interested in building a career within the engineering and construction industry. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 0–4 years of related accounting or finance experience
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn Deltek CRM
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and located near or willing to commute to Rocky Hill, CT

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and processing of client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Contribute to project setup, assist with budgeting activities, and monitor financial progress throughout the project life cycle.
  • Support the collection of accounts receivable, helping to resolve outstanding balances efficiently.
  • Provide research and analytical support to address and resolve client inquiries.
  • Provide support to the Controller with additional accounting duties when required.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial strategies to support organizational goals.
  • Provide direct support to the CEO and CFO on financial analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives as needed.
