About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our nonprofit organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills and hands-on experience using Excel and QuickBooks who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven experience using QuickBooks
  • Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping or accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization
  • Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Experience with grant-related financial reporting

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable
  • Enter and maintain records in QuickBooks
  • Use Microsoft Excel to track, organize, and reconcile financial data
  • Support monthly reconciliations and basic financial reporting
  • Maintain organized digital and paper financial records
  • Assist with audits, grant reporting, or budgeting support as needed
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial documentation
