About The Position

To provide the Rockefeller Center Finance Manager with effective supplemental support for the administrative tasks of the Center. Areas of focus will be contracting and procurement policy and procedure, Center adherence to the Business Expense and associated policies, as well as grant administration. This is a term position with 12 month appointments. Anticipate minimum of 2 year need, after which could become permanent with additional President Office funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three plus years of office experience in a related field, with a high degree of autonomy.
  • In-depth knowledge of office procedures.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Highly proficient with computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative, sound judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Manages, plans, and coordinates the contracting process, with a focus on co-curricular and curricular programming, from start to finish.
  • Coordinates with the Assistant Director of Public Programs to ensure all administrative needs of public events are met.
  • Maintains accurate records for all associated contracts, agreements, PO's and other associated documentation.
  • Voluminous knowledge of College contracting policy and procedures.
  • Maintains strong relationships with the Procurement team.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all applicable College finance policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with the daily preparation and submission of receipts, invoices, and other associated documentation.
  • Development of internal controls and policies, implements effective systems to ensure compliance.
  • Assist the Finance Manager, along with associated faculty and staff with the solicitation and management of applicable Center grant awards.
  • Work closely with the ASFC grant administrative team to ensure proper compliance.
  • Plans, coordinates, and participate in projects and special events related to Center leadership programs.
  • Develops and implements project activities based on defined project scope and objectives.
  • Collaborate with students via lecture and other learning-based activities.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness through actions, interactions, and communications with others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
