About The Position

SUMMARY Leads at an enterprise-level across organizational boundaries by enabling business solutions to satisfy strategic capability gaps and business needs. Recognized as an expert across most areas of Finance or possesses mastery of multiple, complex technical skills. Responsible for leading strategic alignment and enabling business capabilities directed towards fulfilling capability gaps and opportunities within a strong environment of internal controls and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Works with senior level Finance leaders to strategically determine initiative priority, scope and sequencing. Responsibilities include support of strategic ideation efforts, facilitation to roadmap future state, continuous advancement of best in class automation and technical capabilities as well as developing and maintaining a current and future stated capability roadmap. May act as subject matter expert to train/coach others in the skill within the business.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in accounting or other degree with appropriate years of experience in a detailed accounting environment; 10+ years’ experience preferred
  • Business Architecture Certification required, and accreditation maintained
  • Demonstrates mastery level of knowledge and expertise within Finance and Accounting discipline, including relevant methodologies to lead and facilitate strategic design (Process Mapping, Business Architecture, Strategic ideation methodologies (fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, Cause-Effect, Mind mapping, SWOT, Scenario Planning, etc.)
  • Leads innovation in finance business process and systems; Capable of setting vision and strategy to support enterprise leveraging business architecture tools and techniques
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships.
  • Proven leader of transformation with strong influencing ability with senior management

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior finance, business and technology executives to understand and interpret strategic needs.
  • Develops enterprise solutions and capabilities which provide customer value and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and a strong system of internal control
  • Drives the creation of enterprise level function strategic capability assessments and roadmaps to achieve long range goals
  • Drive total enterprise cost improvements beyond the 4 walls to engage with suppliers, customers, and other partners.
  • Work with senior leaders to ensure a holistic architectural view including process, technology and information.
  • Advocate use of common tools and processes across business units consistent with future needs.
  • Leader of transformation as well as investigation, analysis, design and development of future technologies and capabilities across the enterprise
  • Drives the creation of enterprise level function strategic capability assessments and roadmaps to achieve long range goals
  • This role is a manager level position and leads others including senior finance and other business leaders when developing finance architecture strategy.
  • May include direct reports, including supervisors.
