About The Position

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Holloman Air Force Base, NM in the Accounting & Finance program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course(s): Principles of Macroeconomics (ECON 201) and Principles of Microeconomics (ECON 203). The role involves engaging students, guiding them in collaborative learning, providing constructive feedback, and demonstrating subject-matter expertise.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance or Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Professional experience in Economics / Finance or related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• This position is specifically to teach on-site at Holloman Air Force Base, NM.

Nice To Haves

• Terminal degree in Finance or Economics, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Certified Management Accountant certification.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed.
• Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work.
• Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise.
• Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
