About The Position
The Finance and Accounting Intern position is a 10-week internship designed for undergraduate students who are expected to graduate in Spring 2026. This internship will provide candidates with the opportunity to work within one of Santander's core Finance teams, which include Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury & Capital Management, Finance Operations, or Finance Shared Services. The internship is located in Boston, MA, and candidates should be aware that no relocation assistance is offered. The application deadline for this position is Sunday, October 13, 2024. Interns will develop essential skills to support key initiatives, including the production and analysis of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for management reviews. They will also be involved in the development of the annual budget, strategic planning, and monthly forecasts. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring that management has a thorough understanding of business results through effective communication of reporting and analysis. Interns will report on Key Performance Indicators to summarize business performance and implement strategies to utilize financial information systems effectively, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting and analysis.
