CVS Health is seeking a Finance & Analytics Manager to support the Transportation team. This role will be responsible for creating and managing essential financial and metric reporting, maintain complex databases, and will work with the Transportation team on the development of the yearly budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial projection and close processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Finance or Analytics experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Minimum 2 years of experience constructing complex models to analyze financial and metric data
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with large databases
  • Minimum 2 years of analytical skills, quantitative skills, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Finance, experience in supply chain or distribution
  • Microsoft Office including Access, and PowerPoint
  • SAP experience
  • Power BI, ThoughtSpot, or Tableau experience
  • Build complex financial models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across various audiences
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities to meet critical deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and contribute in a team setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business, or Supply Chain or 5 years equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance financial and metric reporting such as P&L results, route, mileage, cost per mile, miles per route, cube/route, fuel consumption
  • Monitor the monthly EIA change in fuel price vs the budgeted and forecasted fuel rates
  • Calculate the cost impact on re-alignments and overrides and change in shipment plans
  • Maintain complex databases, data queries linked to metric and financial reporting
  • Support the Transportation team with various analysis for RFP’s and union negotiations
  • Analyze transportation metrics to uncover, communicate, and solve for opportunities
  • Provide weekly projections, monthly and quarterly P&L reporting for leadership team and DCs to review
  • Develop the new year financial/metric budget models
  • Work with the dedicated and private fleet teams in developing a bottoms up budget and incorporating the necessary initiatives and layers
  • Identify and model budget shifts and variance explanations vs previous forecast
