About The Position

The Financial Analyst is responsible for consolidating, analyzing, and reporting the financial activities of various companies within the Gowan Group. This role involves preparing financial statements, coordinating the annual budget process, analyzing cash flow needs, and providing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. The Financial Analyst will support the Deputy CFO by contributing to key financial projects and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with accounting/ERP systems (Oracle-based systems preferred).
  • Ability to manage various financial projects and prioritize deadlines.
  • Understanding of financial data in the agricultural chemical environment and inventory/costing activity.
  • Experience working with multi-company financials and non-USD currency transactions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare periodic financial statements for management, bankers, and the board of directors.
  • Coordinate the annual budget process, ensuring deadlines are met, and report projected results.
  • Analyze financial results, including profitability, variance, and trends.
  • Analyze cash needs and coordinate cash flows, including credit line advances and investments.
  • Prepare monthly collateral reports for the bank and coordinate the annual collateral exam.
  • Maintain systems/processes for accurate reporting, including restatement rates, currency restatements, and elimination entries.
  • Create ad hoc reports for internal and external reporting/research needs.
  • Prepare financial presentations for board meetings and special business groups.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
