About The Position

Australian Venue Co. is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Management Accounting team. You'll play a key role in delivering accurate month-end reporting, analysing venue performance, and partnering with stakeholders across the business to drive better decision-making.

Requirements

• Strong numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
• Great communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
• High integrity, reliability, and a team-first mindset
• Tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting
• 3+ years' experience in a large or mid-tier firm or similar industry role
• Confident with accounting systems + intermediate Excel

Nice To Haves

• Part CA/CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly venue P&Ls
• Review and reconcile F&B sales and COGS
• Analyse labour costs and operating expenses
• Prepare accruals and investigate variances
• Communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders
• Review weekly P&Ls against budget
• Identify favourable/unfavourable variances
• Highlight risks, trends, and improvement areas
• Build strong relationships across finance, venues and department heads
• Contribute to team meetings and improvement initiatives
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve material reconciling items
