About The Position

As a Finance Analyst, you will provide essential daily accounting and financial support to the division and/or plant. This includes preparing and analyzing financial and operational reports, researching and validating data, and assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. In this role, you will evaluate potential solutions using standard procedures and operate with a moderate level of guidance and independence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related business roles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Safety Model safety-first behavior in all responsibilities, fostering a culture where every employee prioritizes safety.
  • Support Core Accounting & Reporting Prepare plant and corporate reporting packages for Controller review, including: Fixed assets Inventory Sales Customer rebates Standard cost Government reporting
  • Financial Close & Budgeting Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including: Journal entries Account reconciliations Expense and trend analysis Assist the Plant Controller with the annual budget preparation process.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting Develop and run financial reports and queries for analysis, tracking, and cross-functional use. Analyze operating and financial results, identifying key trends and drivers. Help interpret and communicate financial results to business partners.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance Maintain solid internal accounting controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are adhered to. Support internal and external audits by providing financial and operational information.
  • Teamwork & The Amcor Way Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, and accountability in daily work. Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, contributing to solid business understanding and performance. Embody and promote the Amcor Way in all interactions and decision-making.
