About The Position

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Finance Analyst supports the financial leadership of the organization by overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role collaborates closely with the Controller, finance team, and cross-functional leaders to deliver timely and reliable day-to-day financial reporting, month end close support, budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable coding, accounts receivable analysis and few billings, general ledger, payroll review. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual trial balance in compliance with GAAP. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in reporting. Support audit activities with external auditors and provide required documentation and explanations. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic financial planning. Prepare and submit journal entries, reconciliations, and supportive schedules for it. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy. Preparation of KPI reports and analysis. Serve as a key financial partner to operational leaders by providing insights, analyses, and decision-support information. Monthly Invoice preparation. Labor cost reviews and follow up with Temp agencies. Maintain data base for Customers and Vendors

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in finance or accounting or 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • 1-5 years accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of computer systems, accounting software and ERP systems
  • Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job
  • Must possess strong customer service skills.
  • Skill in multitasking and time management
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP’s, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 35 pounds
