Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is seeking a Financial Analyst, supporting our Control State and Midwest Business Units. This role offers a strong development opportunity in financial analysis, with comprehensive training provided to build analytical skills. This role is responsible for supporting this sales team in the management of profitability and financial analysis. This role reports directly to the Senior Commercial Manager. This position offers a high degree of flexibility with a strong preference for NY/CT area.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of finance or accounting experience
  • BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Advanced analytical mind to synthesize data and develop innovative solutions and recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident in engaging with internal & external stakeholders
  • Must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Self-sufficient and highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel 10%

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of the Wholesale Business Unit Profit & Loss through the following:
  • Validate, code and submit Sales invoices
  • Support management of local accounts payable reconciliation
  • Tracking of Travel & Entertainment expenses
  • Tracking of ‘Special performance funding’ [SPF], local market funding
  • Track, analyze, and assist in the management and forecasting of the Sales spending budgets
  • Support and analyze Sales investments by evaluating programs through the 'Return on Investment' (ROI) process
  • Supporting UAT for IT/system updates and upgrades
  • Perform month-end and year-end close responsibilities including preparation and tracking of accruals
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects
