About The Position

The Financial Analyst position at JLL is a key role within the Capital Project Accounting team, responsible for enforcing risk controls, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines, and acting as a trusted advisor to clients and facility partners. This role involves financial analysis, client service, and collaboration with project management teams to enhance operational efficiency and support capital project accounting functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related fields.
  • Up to 2-3 years relevant experience in financial analysis or related fields.
  • Strong financial, analytical, research, root cause analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic and creative thinking abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with business and clients.
  • Ability to quickly identify core issues and respond in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Basic understanding of real estate terminology is desired.
  • Demonstrated financial competency at a detailed operational level.

Responsibilities

  • Establish strong trusted relationships with clients and proactively identify opportunities to enhance customer service.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Project Management Teams and other business partners, meeting established SLAs and accommodating capital vs. expense inquiries.
  • Review capital budgets for construction projects, ensuring adherence to policy and controls, including verification of approval authority.
  • Process project financial closeouts, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment of expenditures and collection of landlord reimbursements.
  • Compile Fixed Asset files to ensure criteria are met for capitalizing closed projects to the client's balance sheet.
  • Prepare detailed financial analysis and update reports, presentations, and KPI reporting as needed.
  • Enforce and monitor risk controls surrounding data and system processes, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and requirements.
  • Partner with Technology to support critical business needs, including reporting development and system design.
