About The Position

The Savings Group is an innovative FinTech company that is powering finance in the age of mobility. We function as a virtual Finance & Insurance office, finding our customers the perfect lender for their car loan or refinance. This means we're able to solidify our customers' auto loans prior to going to the dealership, and our marketplace of lenders ensures they get the lowest rate available. The Finance Advisor is responsible for assisting customers with purchasing, financing, and refinancing vehicles and offering after-market products (e.g., extended service contracts, gap protection, tire and wheel protection) to protect their investments. Warm leads are provided, no cold calling.

Requirements

  • Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years of direct finance experience preferred but not required. 2+ years of automotive sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with ability to effectively communicate and sell over the phone. Results driven, highly motivated, self-starter. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer Service: Excellent Customer Service and follow-up skills.
  • Technical: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of The Savings Group’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Promote our lending services and offer financing/purchasing options to customers.
  • Obtain vehicle payoff amounts, taxes, and payment details.
  • Assist customers with completing credit applications.
  • Submit credit applications to partner lending institutions who can best meet customer requirements.
  • Provide customers with lender option(s) and rates and assist them with the selection process.
  • Promote and offer aftermarket products to all clients (e.g., extended service contracts, gap protection, tire and wheel protection) to protect their investment.
  • Review paperwork (loan details and aftermarket product selections) with customers.
  • Manage vehicle financing leads to ensure customer and lender satisfaction.
  • Provide excellent customer service by providing prompt, informed, professional, and accurate service, and support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer concerns in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Consistently meet department sales, service and quality standards that promote customer satisfaction and company growth.
  • Ensure appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Average Finance Advisors are pacing between $55 - $75,000 per year.
  • This role starts out as an hourly based position ($17.31/hour) plus overtime for the first partial month plus the following two months.
  • You will move to salary plus uncapped commissions the first day of the next month.
