About The Position
This role involves conducting inspections and tests to ensure compliance with contracts, client requirements, and standards. Requirements
- 2-3 years inspection role .
- U.S. Citizenship Status required due to client requirement.
- High school diploma or equivalent required plus 3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with material and product certifications
- Candidate must have practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies.
- The inspections will be performed to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
- Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- The candidate must have experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard and knowledge is required.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Candidate should be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
- Must pass a GD&T Mechanical exam with a 90% or better.

- Understanding of inspection tools i.e. caliper thread and plug gages.
- Candidates who possess preferred qualifications may have an advantage in the selection process but lacking them does not necessarily disqualify someone from consideration.
Responsibilities
- Conducts tests, inspections, audits and validations to ensure process compliance with contracts, our client and group requirements and specifications for design, engineering, products, equipment, maintenance and services.
- Uses and cares for inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.
- Conducts sampling inspections in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
- Provides training and tutoring to other inspection personnel.
- Provides activity and status reports to management.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
