Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a quality control or inspection role
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of increasing responsibility experience in aviation battery/cell manufacturing
  • Ability to obtain FAA certification after 1 year of inspection experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings including knowledge of English and metric measure
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and standards
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 45 pounds)
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment (including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plates, weight scale, steel measuring scale, manometer, megometer, volt and OHM meter.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Manufacturing Specialist designation is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections on finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Identify any defects, damages, or inconsistencies and document them accurately
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and tests as required
  • Perform quality checks on materials, components, and sub-assemblies
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve any quality issues
  • Ensure that all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained properly
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation
