The Quality Control Final Inspector at RTX Corporation is responsible for ensuring that avionics equipment meets the highest quality standards through meticulous inspection processes. This role involves working under general supervision to perform visual and physical inspections, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality management systems. The position operates on a 4th shift schedule, specifically Friday to Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and is critical to maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in service delivery.

  • Inspect a variety of avionics electronic equipment, performing visual and physical inspections of units/subassemblies as needed.
  • Inspect avionics electronic equipment to ensure conformance against the technical drawings, work instructions and specification requirements.
  • Collaborate with other service center functions to ensure systems are compliant, efficient and can deliver to customer requirements.
  • Support continuous review of quality strategies, practices, and procedures to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Support Service Center Quality Management initiatives.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as needed.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety requirements by complying to EH&S regulations and policies.
  • Support continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience utilizing basic technical drawing and standard operation procedures.
  • Experience applying quality management systems.
  • Experience in quality system, product, or technical process audits, preferably in a manufacturing or service environment.
  • Read, understand, and apply regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
  • Proven background in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience with RRCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action) and problem resolution processes.
