We are looking for a Final Inspector that performs the final dimensional, visual, and technical inspections of forged parts and their assemblies to assure all requirements are met before shipment.

Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years of similar inspection experience is required.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must be trained and pass the inspection test to qualify as a Final Inspector.
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person.
  • English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)

Responsibilities

  • Verify product traceability.
  • Verify that job traveler is accurate and signed-off on all operations.
  • Calibrate measuring tools before use as necessary. Verify the date on calibration sticker.
  • Use a variety of measurement instruments to confirm part dimensions.
  • Inspect parts, verifying that final parts satisfy all requirements indicated by job travelers and ICLs before shipping parts to customers.
  • Actively communicate with quality control and production personnel to ensure the continuous production of quality parts.
  • Maintain accurate records and part-counts of current production.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job travelers.
  • Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Follow and respect supervisor’s direction.
  • Ensure quality parts to meet customers’ and APP’s requirements.
  • Work at an acceptable level of productivity.
  • Maintain a non-combative, positive work attitude.
  • Uphold safe and honest work habits and practices.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • In an effort to achieve continuous improvement, APP expects a willingness from employees to be cross-trained on multiple operations.
  • Ensure adherence to APP’s policies and procedures, including our code of conduct and ethics policy, product safety, employee safety and cultural beliefs.
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals / improvements & productivity goals / improvements within the scope of the job.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
