Requirements

  • 6+ years PC experience in Investment Banking (IBD)/International Wealth Management (IWM).
  • MBA (Finance)/ CFA / CA.
  • Good understanding of financial products such as Forwards, Swaps, Futures & Options (including exotic options), and the relevant greeks and sensitivities involved.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to details.
  • Knowledge of Database e.g.: SQL, MS Access.
  • Experience within Private Banking accounting practices, balance sheet substantiation, transfer pricing and MI reporting.
  • Experience with Avaloq banking suite.

  • Expert-level understanding of various pricing/valuation methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of daily P&L and balance sheet movements of the business.
  • Take ownership and be accountable for the timely and accurate calculation, verification, reporting of daily P&L and MI to internal stakeholders.
  • Interact with Business, Operations, Risk, Treasury, FC&R, CMA, Valuations and other functions to resolve booking, valuation, accounting, financial resource and management reporting queries.
  • Undertake critical reviews and analysis of IWM business activity to highlight significant items to senior management.
  • Perform month-end activities including Balance Sheet substantiation, transfer pricing, MIS/KPI, EOM financial reporting and validation of key senior management metrics.
  • Support team in managing automations including process walkthroughs for developers, testing and completing related documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation/reengineering and take these to logical conclusion post approval from management.
  • Train new joinees/junior members and provide guidance to junior team members in handling unusual breaks/queries.
