About The Position

Repligen is seeking a Filtration Engineering Intern to support hands-on engineering work at our Rancho Dominguez location. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to practical, self‑contained engineering focused project deliverables with immediate business impact. The intern will work under the guidance of the Process Engineering Manager, to support manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will apply engineering design principles, hands-on experimentation, and problem-solving techniques to improve process reliability, product quality, and efficiency on the manufacturing line.

Requirements

• Working toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, materials, biomedical, electrical, or chemical engineering or related disciplines.
• Interest in or exposure to engineering design, fabrication, or process improvement
• Demonstrate experience reading and preparing technical drawings (GD&T)
• Knowledge of Solidworks and/or CAD
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously
• Ability to work in a clean-room environment and comfortable working with equipment
• Ability to work on hands‑on and practical engineering problems with measurable outcomes
• Capability to manage and complete a defined project within an 8–12 week summer internship period
• Willingness to work onsite in Rancho Dominguez within a Filtration Engineering environment

Responsibilities

• Design, create detailed drawings, fabricate, and implement fixtures
• Apply practical mechanical and process design principles to real manufacturing challenges
• Complete at least one self‑contained project from concept through implementation within an 8–12 week internship timeframe
• Characterize and validate equipment processes
• Present project deliverables to internal team and site-level stakeholders
