Your New Role Overview of the internships We have multiple Film & TV Development and Production internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for multiple internship opportunities within this general area. These internships will be located in the LA area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern manager’s in office schedule. Requirements

  • Passion and knowledge of the post-production, production, and development process
  • Script coverage and/or book coverage experience
  • Passion for film, television and the industry as a whole with a strong interest in a career as a studio executive, film/tv producer or editor
  • Excellent editing skills and media management
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art video/film/graphics/audio production, post-production techniques, and equipment
  • Proficiency in both MAC and PC
  • Computer literacy in Outlook, Excel, and Google suites
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or rising Senior undergrad student (18 years or older)
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)
  • A transcript will be required to verify your GPA if an offer is extended.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States.
  • Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Post-Production and Production Assistants in every-day tasks such as miscellaneous tracking, database management and file creation
  • Work with the Post-Production Coordinators and Managers on assignments as needed
  • Maintain and create spreadsheets for the department on post-producers, editors and other post-production roles
  • Perform research projects as needed
  • Gain experience using platforms such as Airtable, Scenechronize, and PIX that are utilized by post-production departments and teams throughout the industry
  • Production and asset management on AVID systems
  • Assist with editor and client requests using AVID and production equipment
  • Help manage and monitor WWTVM systems
  • Read, evaluate, and write script coverage and book coverage on a wide range of incoming material for potential projects
  • Gain exposure to various creative materials though the film development and production process including watching dailies and/or Studio rough cuts of our projects when possible as well as films from up-and-coming filmmakers
  • Create and maintain lists of all available actors, writers, and directors for current and future projects
  • Assist with project-related research
  • Track competitive projects
