About The Position

Meadow Gold Dairy in Salt Lake City, UT, is hiring for an adaptable Filling Machine Operator/ Bagger & Debagger to perform an array of functions, including maintaining, breaking down, and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving operating issues. The Bagger/Debagger Operator operates any of the filler machines to put products into plastic containers, poly-pack containers, and paper cartons in the Packaging Department. The Machine Operator will be responsible for processing finished or raw milk while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), communicating effectively with all departments, and meeting daily deadlines. Support activities of bagging and debagging bottles for fluid milk packaging, familiar with equipment and quality controls, maintain flow of bottles, remove defective bottles from line, recycle defective bottles, maintain communication with other departments, including cooler and production, notify management of any production and safety concerns or problems, and maintain a clean and sanitary work area. Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as an effective team member
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including drug, background, and criminal checks
Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach, and bend the entire shift virtually
Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high
Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where the temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
May occasionally be exposed to cleaning chemicals

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing, processing, or warehouse experience is preferred
Previous food manufacturing, processing, or warehouse experience is a plus!
