About The Position

The Filler at Airgas USA, LLC is responsible for safely and efficiently filling various types of gas cylinders according to established procedures and quality standards. This role ensures the accurate and timely preparation of products for delivery to customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety instructions, operating manuals, and production schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
  • Basic math skills for accurate measurement and record-keeping.
  • Ability to roll and move heavy cylinders frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain filling equipment, including pumps, compressors, and manifold systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Inspect cylinders for damage, proper labeling, and valid hydrotest dates before and after filling.
  • Accurately fill cylinders with various industrial, medical, and specialty gases, adhering to specific product specifications and fill levels.
  • Monitor pressure gauges, flow rates, and other controls during the filling process to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on filling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Record cylinder information, fill quantities, and other relevant data accurately and legibly.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Load and unload cylinders onto/from trucks and storage areas using appropriate material handling equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including counting and stocking cylinders and other materials.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or product quality issues to supervision.
