About The Position

The Filler Operator is responsible for operating filling equipment to accurately dispense liquid products into containers in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner. This role is critical to ensuring product quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing setting preferred
  • Attention to detail for inspecting materials
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and safety procedures
  • Communicate clearly and effectively through multiple channels – oral, written, visual, and non-verbal – ensuring our messages are understood and delivered appropriately, whether in-person or digitally.
  • Take responsibility for actions and anticipate challenges before they arise.
  • Solve problems both within and outside of departments, proactively addressing issues as they occur.

  • The employee must be able to reach, bend, extend, and lift 50-60 pounds
  • The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
  • Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. They may also be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Work will occur in a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures as low as 34 degrees F.

Responsibilities

  • Remove protective packaging from empty containers or materials
  • Inspect materials for damage or contamination
  • Ensure clean and continuous supply to the production line
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Follow all safety and food quality standards
  • Tends machine that fills pasteurized products into containers
  • Examines containers from all lines for seals, labels, weights, dates, and valves
  • Review with the lab for approvals of each product change on each machine
  • Observes flow of milk into machine and remove defective containers
  • Other duties as assigned
