Filler Operator | 3rd Shift
About The Position
Gehl Foods is a fast-growing food and beverage manufacturer, known for ready-to-serve products like nacho cheese and protein shakes—no refrigeration needed. The company prioritizes safety, quality, and teamwork. The Filler Operator position is for the 3rd Shift (10pm - 6:30am) and involves operating and observing production line equipment, becoming proficient in Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) and Clean-in-Place (CIP) operations, and actively participating in the startup, troubleshooting, adjustment, stop/reset, and shutdown of line equipment. The role also includes performing changeovers and completing necessary handwritten and online documentation.
Requirements
- 6 months previous manufacturing, packaging or assembly line production experience
- Basic Mathematical calculation skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 30 lbs)
- Team-player mindset who shows up on time and ready to work
Responsibilities
- Operates and observes production line equipment
- Becomes proficient in Sterilize-in-Place (SIP) operations and Clean-in-Place (CIP)
- Actively participates in startup, troubleshooting/adjustment, stop/reset and shutdown of line equipment
- Performs changeovers
- Reports out of standard/specification results
- Completes handwritten instructions and on-line documentation
