About The Position

Fill-In Rest Area Technicians Needed (Sunset Rest Area, Hwy 26) Pay: $22.40/hour Location: Sunset Rest Area (US-26, 30 miles East of Seaside) See MAP for location. As a Rest Area Technician with the Oregon Travel Information Council (TIC), you’ll help travelers, maintain essential facilities, and play a vital role in public safety. This fill-in position offers flexible scheduling, you work as needed, including weekends and holidays. Perfect for extra hours or flexible work!

Requirements

Works well independently and with others
Friendly, approachable, and able to assist the public, law enforcement, and staff
Experience (or ability) in janitorial tasks, basic repairs, and groundskeeping
Reliable, follows instructions, and completes tasks accurately
You must reside within 60 minutes of the rest area.
Employee is required to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the state where the employee resides.
Finalists will be subject to a computerized criminal history check. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
Within three days of hire, applicants will be required to complete I-9 documentation and confirm authorization to work in the United States. If your employment authorization and documentation is contingent on sponsorship now or in the future, you will not meet Agency employment eligibility standards.
