We are seeking an Application Developer II to design, develop, and maintain custom business applications across multiple platforms. This role requires adaptability to evolving technologies and a forward-thinking approach to application architecture. While proficiency in FileMaker and current enterprise systems is valuable, the ideal candidate will also be prepared to support modernization initiatives, including microservices transformation, event-driven architectures, and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Design, develop, and maintain applications using FileMaker and other appropriate platforms. Build solutions with scalability and modularity in mind to support future microservices adoption. Integrate applications with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, APIs, cloud services) and prepare for event-driven communication. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement secure, efficient solutions. Participate in modernization projects, including migration to cloud-native and distributed architectures. Assist in troubleshooting issues, performance tuning, and optimizing application reliability. Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and automation for application deployments. Stay informed about emerging technologies and actively recommend improvements aligned with strategic goals. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–4 years of experience in application development, preferably with FileMaker. Strong understanding of relational database design, scripting, and API integration. Familiarity with modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and cloud platforms. Knowledge of distributed systems concepts, asynchronous communication, and RESTful services. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.
