About The Position

At McManus & McManus, we provide comprehensive estate planning to help our clients protect themselves and their families. As a family-run firm, we understand the complexities of family dynamics. Through our work, our goal is to not only be advocates for our clients but to support their family members as they go through transition. McManus & McManus, your trusted legal advisors since 1953, is looking to hire a part-time File Clerk for our Largo firm. The File Clerk is responsible for in-office admin work, answering phones, and other client-facing tasks that allow the office to run smoothly and serve clients effectively. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-focused, proactive with their work, and enjoys assisting internal staff and clients in ensuring their needs are met. This position is for you if you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are highly organized, can complete your day-to-day responsibilities with little management direction, have compassion and patience when working with others, and are ready to take on various tasks throughout the office.

Requirements

  • Experience working directly with customers (Required)
  • Is comfortable answering calls and speaking with clients over the phone (Required)
  • Comfort working with cloud based software such as Microsoft Sharepoint and OneDrive (Required)
  • Part-Time position, 15-25 hours per week
  • Ability to work in the Largo office

  • Prior admin or support experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Answers the office phones and assists callers
  • Processes department incoming and outgoing mail, and other physical or electronic correspondences for the physical and electronic file
  • Greets clients as they enter the office
  • Schedules and confirms client meetings
  • Performs admin tasks that support the legal assistants and attorneys
  • Acts as a team player to ensure deadlines are met, clients are cared for, and the firm runs smoothly
  • Assists with postage log
  • Assists with file maintenance and appointment preparation
  • Completes other duties as assigned
