About The Position
Sun Mountain Community School is a public Waldorf-inspired charter school in Santa Fe, NM, dedicated to educating the whole child through an arts-integrated, developmentally aligned curriculum. Our faculty works collaboratively to bring a rich and meaningful educational experience to each student. We are seeking a Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Fifth grade is a culminating year in the lower grades, grounded in balance, beauty, and the study of ancient civilizations. We are looking for a teacher who can guide students with clarity, creativity, and a strong sense of classroom leadership.
Requirements
- NM PED Elementary License (K–8)
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching upper elementary grades preferred
- Interest in or experience with Waldorf education
