About The Position

The Field Welder I supports field welding operations on steel tank construction and rehabilitation projects while developing foundational welding, safety, and jobsite skills under direct supervision.

Requirements

• 0–1 year of welding or relevant construction experience preferred.
• Entry-level welding certification or ability to pass company weld test.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
• Willingness to travel and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks under supervision using SMAW, FCAW, or GMAW processes.
• Assist with material handling, equipment setup, and jobsite preparation.
• Follow established welding procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist senior welders with fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and cleanup.
• Maintain tools and welding equipment in safe working condition
• Participate in required safety meetings and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
